Introducing Our Latest GEM Award Winner!

Opengate recognizes the exceptional commitment of its team through the GEM (Going the Extra Mile) Award. Each month, Opengate team members vote to select an employee who shows outstanding dedication, work ethic, and initiative in their life-changing work advancing our mission. The award includes a monetary prize.

We are thrilled to introduce Nakia Oliver, our latest GEM Award Winner. Nakia goes above and beyond in his role as a direct support professional. His team is impressed with the thoughtful way he interacts with the individuals served at Opengate. For example, he plays soothing music for the individuals and helps make their days better in many other small and large ways. He’s positive about his job responsibilities and goes out of his way to tell people that Opengate is a great place to work. He shows leadership and initiative and is an outstanding DSP.
