Celebrating Awards Day Together!

At Opengate, we celebrate individuals’ successes, differences, and special qualities every day. And for our annual Awards Day, we throw a party!

Individuals and staff teamed up to host a festive day filled with recognition, food, and fun. Ensuring individuals’ ideas were represented, they worked together to choose themes and decorate each residence for the celebration. Families attended the joyful event as well.

This year’s awards recognized individuals’ advancements in areas such as socialization, leadership, self-advocacy, computer skills, exercise, overall progress in skills building, and willingness to help others.

We meet inspiring individuals where they are—and on Awards Day, we celebrate how far they’ve come. For us, the smiles say it all.
