Peggy has been with Opengate for over 20 years, since 2002. As a dedicated, long-term member of the Opengate leadership team, Peggy is attuned to the healthcare needs of those supported at Opengate and how to address them. She is closely involved with every aspect of their health. She directs the agency’s nursing services, provides hands-on care as a house nurse, advocates for those supported at Opengate with outside entities such as hospitals, and regularly communicates with families and physicians. 

Peggy is inspired by working closely with the people supported at Opengate, especially seeing them grow and change over the past 20 years. She shares,

“They make you smile and want to come to work in the morning.” 

Before joining Opengate, she gained experience as a nurse in hospitals, nursing homes, and clinical settings.
