Opengate is seeking caring individuals to assist developmentally disabled adults to lead fruitful and independent lives at various locations in Northern Westchester. We provide a competitive starting salary including paid training. Various shifts available. HS Diploma/GED and NYS driver’s license required.
Opengate will provide transportation shuttle from Goldens Bridge Metro-North train station to our Somers facility. This service will be provided from Monday – Friday for day and evening shifts.
Behavioral Intervention Specialist
The Behavioral Intervention Specialist’s role is to create and implement person-centered behavioral intervention supports that enables the individuals served to engage in satisfying social and community relationship, and achieve personal and social development goals. The Behavioral Intervention Specialist develops behavioral support plans; ensures that the individual interventions are delivered in the least restrictive manner as indicated by the individual’s clinical and developmental needs; liaises with the interdisciplinary team (IDT); ensure data collection methodologies are measureable and accurately implemented by service delivery staff; partners with social services/worker to implement rights restriction reviews; complete psychosocial assessments and other evaluations to enhance service delivery.
This position works a regularly schedule 40-hour work week with after hour access on an as needed basis. Master’s Degree in Social Work/Psychology/Behavioral Analysis or a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Minimum of three years professional experience working in programs serving adults and/or children with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and other specialized needs. Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills and capacity to navigate and enhance proficiency in software systems as needed.

Social Worker (LCSW)
Part Time 20 hours or Part Time 30 hours which includes medical benefits: Not for profit facility located in Northern Westchester providing services for adults with developmental disabilities seeks caring individual to work part time to assist individuals in achieving their goals. Candidate must have the ability to interact well with residents, parents, and regulatory agencies. Candidate must have an LCSW and a minimum of two years experience working with a Developmental Disabilities or Mental Health population. Candidate will be responsible for providing high quality, person-centered Behavioral Support Services. In addition, the candidate is responsible for coordinating and delivering staff development/training on related behavioral support and intervention plans.
