The success of our programs depends on the quality of the high level of care provided by our staff.  Opengate is proud of its employees with entry level origins who have followed career paths to Lead Counselor or Resident Manager. Indeed, our own Chief Executive Officer, Brian Hulten LCSW, initially joined Opengate in direct care.

Experience in the developmentally disabled field is not necessary although it is preferred. Applicants must have a valid New York State Driver License and either a high school diploma or GED. Background checks including fingerprinting, sex offender registry check and a pre-employment drug screening are required.

Salary and Benefits

In addition to offering competitive salaries, Opengate provides comprehensive benefits for the employee and their family.  We offer low-cost health insurance coverage, and dental benefits and life insurance are provided at no cost to the employee. Opengate also offers participation in an optional 401 (k) retirement plan.

Opengate is currently offering a sign-on BONUS for DSP positions up to $600.

Opengate will provide transportation shuttle from Goldens Bridge Metro-North train station to our Somers facility.  This service will be provided from Monday – Friday for day and evening shifts.
